What an amazing day today! Driving out of my driveway I was completely awestruck by the icicles hanging off my roof. The pictures don't do them justice, but they offer a little glimpse of the beauty. The storm of the last few days is beginning to melt, though we still have about a foot and a half of standing snow. The piles made by the plow are gigantic. My neighbor made an igloo, and my girls had a blast playing in it.

The best part of playing in the snow, as my 2 1/2 year old has quickly learned, is coming inside to some hot cocoa. Hershey's is good in a pinch, but if you have a little bit more time you could try out this version, which adds some coffee granules for a little extra kick. This is not to be served to 2-year-olds, though! They do enough bouncing off the wall without any caffeine.
