Introduction

posted by

I am so excited to be writing this blog for DinnerBeat! I am thrilled about the site and telling people about it. As is mentioned in the site pages, I started this site because I needed help getting dinner on the table for my family. I am determined to provide my family with healthy, home-cooked food. As of this writing, my husband and I have two daughters, Katie, 2 1/2, and Ellie, 9 months. So obviously, my dinner choices have to be QUICK, EASY, and fairly SIMPLE. It's very important to us to expose our daughters to a variety of foods early in her life. Katie is somewhat resistant to new and unusual foods, but I continue to serve them, aligning myself to the theory that the more exposure they have to new things the less picky they'll be in the long run. As for Ellie, just last week she decided she'd had it with purees and will only eat finger food. This would be much easier if she had teeth!

DinnerBeat provides me with a way to organize what I'm doing and keep on top of my week. Without DinnerBeat, we'd be alot friendlier with our local pizzeria!
